A microchip is the size of a grain of rice and contains a unique number for your animal. The insertion of a microchip is by injection and takes seconds. It is a legal requirement to microchip all dogs over eight weeks of age. We also strongly recommend microchipping cats whether they are indoor or outdoor. From June 2024 it will be a legal requirement to microchip all cats.
